Dave Warner?????
Pfffft, only 2 majors and a behind so far.
Would never make a fumbleballer.
Gary Tablett scores 3 centuries a game.

Gavin Larson would have found a way to tie is down, him and Chris Harris would have found a way.

Right arm door knobs are hard to hit when you are laughing that hard with tears in your eyes.

This pitch is not fit for test cricket, its getting ridiculous. No one wants to see this game that has now developed into a joke. We may as well just use bowling machines and have 11 batsman.

The pace and bounce of the WACA seems to be a thing of the past.

Easing us in to another boring drop in wicket for the new venue i suppose???? Even the Gabba was a boring deck IMO. You like to see a contest between bat and ball but this is just boredom.

That's a load of shit IMO. The NZ bowling has simply been woeful and so has been their use of DRS. There was enough there for a first day pitch to get plenty of wickets but they were never able to build any pressure. You don't get 89 straight overs without a maiden just because of pitch conditions

They didn't bowl well and botched the DRS but are you telling me that this was a true WACA pitch??? It's been slow, lack of decent bounce, nicks falling short of the slips in the 3rd over, no sideways movement whatsoever. How long you been watching cricket at Perth??? Biggest flattest road I have seen on day 1 ever.

It's not a good pitch but NZ have made it look way worse. Make no mistake the pitch should be criticised and cricket Australia needs to pull their finger out when it comes to pitches (at least have some green on the pitch day 1....at a minimum) because they are getting ridiculous.

But NZ have bowled so poorly and that can't be excused by the pitch. Bend your back and keep it tight. Boult was appalling. One of the worst bowling efforts I can remember.

Agree on both counts - the pitch is lame, no sideways movement at all, winning the toss (which McCullum seems unable to do) is huge.

We bowled badly - Boult seems to be back too soon from the stress fracture, he is a genuinely world class bowler, and embarrassing himself here... He normally has the pace and accuracy to create pressure, and simply hasn't been able to

But the conditions are important, all the forum champs here laughing at our bowling attack (which deserves to be laughed at) should recall how schoolboyish your batsmen looked when it counted in UK conditions.

It's nice of you to concede this series counts for nothing.

Bring on the real cricket.

Bring on India, bring on England, bring on South Africa.

Meh we all know playing the Kiwi's in cricket really doesn't mean much.

Bring on the mighty B grade Windies!!!! A team worthy of the boxing day test........

And how are NZ "worthy" of a Boxing Day Test?

I'm sure if offered, they'd take it and then whine they want it changed to 3 ODIs.

Nothing excuses the shit bowling lines, the terrible field settings and misuse of DRS - that Southee appeal was laughable. It was smashed in to his leg and yet no one with half a brain stopped to say it had done so.

Yeah, it like us playing Australia at league or union - fun, but we all know who has the real power....

The ladies in Sydney and Melbourne will love having the Windies in town

This is the same NZ squad that was also going to hand the Aussies their arses in the World Cup final in March?

Yep. Yawn. Little brother trying to make noise to get some attention - oh the pitch, the pitch!!! Run along little one. I'd say go back to your Lego whippersnappers but they'd wouldn't be able to make anything of that either.

The pitch is as much to blame as our bowling, which is poor no doubt.

But it's not so bad that a team can cruise to 400+/2 without breaking a sweat.
Barring perhaps 10 overs in the day, there was absolutely nothing for bowlers.
