Whatley: Oar-straylia.

Makes me grind my teeth. Just imaging that bird breasted twat commentating makes me ill.

Whateley = typical Victorian grub.

Why people on this forum still continue to watch The Offsiders on Sunday mornings baffles me.

Nannes' whiney, stop/start voice coupled with Whateleys pretentious interjections with each ball had me pulling my nut hairs out.

f**k me dead, we lost Kerry for these 2 dribblers. At least they got rid of Langer.

Whateley should just stick to commentating AFL.

Australia need to keep rotating the strike with singles, keep the scoreboard ticking over and not allowing the NZ bowlers to apply pressure and dry up the scoring.

Kiwi's bowling quite outstanding this morning . Ball is doing a bit and kiwi's aiming at the cracks and scoring runs is tough.

Can only see a draw or a Kiwi victory from here.

Bracewell bowling like he did in Hobart 4 years ago (albeit on that occasion he had the advantage of a green-top and overcast conditions). Australia, only 1 run scored in the last half hour.

Feel that the new ball is where the result of this match will be decided. NZ get a couple of quick wickets and they have a big chance to skittle Australia and chase a sub-275 target, making for an interesting run chase

Geez tough going this morning for the batsmen. The way we're going we'll be bowled out and won't get the luxury of a declaration. ball seems to be doing more though, by the sounds of it. Not sure what sides have chased at the WACA in the past. but we'd want a lead of at least 350 surely.

Well, South Africa did chase down 414 back in 2008 on a WACA pitch that had significantly flattened out by the time they batted last. The highest successful test run chase in Australia.

Next highest successful chase was 339 by Australia vs India back in 1977 (without the World Series players, hence players like Bob Simpson had to come out of retirement)

Interesting to see if they take the new ball, this is doing a bit and the runs have been stopped to a trickle. But the new ball could lead to more runs. Worry is we aren't scoring and taking much time out of the game.

And they were only 4 down weren't they? 60% chance of rain this arvo according to BOM. Smithy will be livid with himself for getting out this morning.

Yep, Kallis/De Villiers/Duminy chased it down with consummate ease on the last day. As I said, highest successful run chase in Australia and 2nd highest of all time:

Jason Krezja was the scapegoat from that WACA test, going from hero - taking 12 wickets on test debut in India - to being put on the international scrapheap, never played another test after that. Hard to believe that was 7 years ago.
