With respect to Austraya, they are now a team we should be competing with...

There is nothing in your lineup that anyone fears any more... welcome to the 2nd tier chaps... if only we'd have played decently in Brisbane

I'm not sure I'd go that far. NZ are certainly good enough to win a few Tests against us, of that there's no doubt. But (there is always a but) I think they will find it hard going on the sort of track we tend to see in Test matches these days. With more bowler friendly wickets, you have developed an attack that can certainly trouble the best. But batting is still a major issue for you and I think that on a good pitch that's where you'll be found out.

We have got a long way to go as well. But I think with a fit Watson, along with Clarke, we have a solid base in the batting. Marsh and Warner are in form and promise quite a bit, and our bowling stocks are pretty well set. Where we are struggling is the form of some of the older guys, namely Ponting and Hussey. Hughes and Khawaja probably aren't there at full strength at the moment. We really are rebuilding, and so consistency is an issue as well. But I think we're heading in the right direction, more so than we were a year ago with Nielsen and Ponting running their mates club, and we have the players coming through to be an excellent side in a few seasons.

To be beaten by the 8th ranked team at home is an indicator of how far we have tumbled. Hughes, ponting, Haddin and siddle must go. It's obvious that they're no longer up to it.

Dave Warner's knock was outstanding, take his innings out of the equation and we would have been bowled out for under 150 twice this test. Hopefully he'll concentrate on test and ODIs and give up that big bash/IPL shit. Lyon has got ticker, although I'd like to see him bowl against India before making a judgement.

Congratulations to NZ. All there players put in but bracewell's spell was first class.

And a big f**k you to abc and the f**king country hour.

it was a drawn series

we just had a drawn series away v team 3

we haven't lost a series under pup
I'm talking about the test match, not the series. New Zealand haven't won a test against since the nineties and a test in Australia since the 80s. NZ have a right to celebrate and Australia has a right to sack non performers.

I still think Hughes will be our long term opener, with Warner. But he has to go back and refine his approach to batting at state level, as well as getting some confidence back. He's still only 23 so he has plenty of time left in him

Seriously we just made a pie chucker look like Curtley Ambrse FFS! Our middle order is woeful, Hussey and Ponting can join Hughes in being dumped!

Kiwis are developing a pretty decent young pace attack now. Do they have any spinners coming through? They desperately need 2 openers so they can get McCullum back to 6 and plonk Vettori at 7.

Hey the cricket seasons just really started!..I dont hide.

El Douche (he wasn't playing a shot so it doesn't matter where it pitches) and Tonearm faggywrist can eat a fat d*ck.

What happened to the empire? LOL

I'm interested to know what the relevance of a batsman playing a
shot or not has to do with where the ball pitches?

If it pitches outside leg it's not out either way. If it pitches outside off it can still be out whether the batsman plays a shot or not. Where it hits the pad is the crucial factor.

Top win for NZ and a great game. I haven't been that into a match in a long time. I can't believe Bracewell wasn't motm; I voted for him. Clarke, Ponting, Hussey, Haddin disgraceful from our most experienced batsmen. Siddle's terrible, but you can't blame him for the loss, that lies with the batsmen. Superb fro
Warner; I'll admit I wanted him to spend more time for NSW to prove himself, but he's proved himself now at the highest level.

As long as you hitting them well in the nets thats all that matters, gotta laugh Healy brought that ridiculous line out again, Ricks been hitting them well in the nets he just has to reproduce his net form  How many years will we continue to hear that bullshit line. Changes must be made, the sooner we tap Ponting and Hussey and Haddin the sooner we can move on with a young side for the future. Dropping Khwaja is a step backwards, we need to build for the next Ashes tour they won't be there so why should they be perserved with now??? And it's not like they are offering the team much anyway.

Lol can't believe people like to compare the nets to the middle. Anyone could perform in the f**ken nets lol.
