I'm glad Smith won MotM because I'm a big fan of that honour going to a player from the winning team. He dominated with the bat, made the gutsy declaration call and rotated his bowlers well.

Pakistan losing that match has to be up there with their capitulation in Sydney a few years ago (chasing 170 odd). You jokingly suggest the involvement of bookies but then see some of their efforts - particularly Misbah's dismissal and the constant no-balls.

And i said he didn't deserve another go and his keeping hadn't improved. He's done nothing at all to deserve a recall just dribble rubbish behind the stumps and talk himself up.
His keeping is a little better. Not up to standard though.

He proved you wrong!!!!!!!!

He proved nothing.

So he took 3 wickets on day 5 of a test match, (and 2 thanks to Handscombe). Thats his job but where was he in the first test and the 3 against RSA ?

When was his last 5 fer ?

4 wickets in one test match and you're crowing about him, thats sub par for mine and it will probabaly be a year or so till he does it again, if ever

He's the best spinner we have imo.

He's solid. He has to stay in the side.

O'Keefe in my view ain't up to it.

O'Keefe is a white ball specialist, Lyon is Australia's greatest ever finger spinner

Neither is Lyon obviously.

He is one of the reasons we have been resting our quicks as their workload is so high, they have to do his job as well as theirs. If we had a spinner who could be a strike bowler, we wouldn't need to work our quicks so hard.

Also an offies job isn't to get 3 wickets ct at sq leg, he was very fortunate yesterday.

To be honest we dont have a strike bowling spinner available. Lyon and O'Keefe are bit part players at best and sadly they are by far our best.

I wouldnt say he got lucky, he probably has 30 less test wickets due to Wade and his feet for hands and general poor fielding as well like Warner in the first dig.

Pakistan actually played pretty decent this series up until that last day yesterday, they put up a good fight for most of the series.
Apart from the last session of Day 2 in Brisbane when they scored 7-77. This being the session when the Test was won and lost.

nearly stopped reading there but kept going for the lols

that is just a ridiculous statement

Like Bazal I would not have selected him but from what you posted I really dont think you have seen much of him at all.

Lol a Maddo fan boy, very funny

The kid is now back to his right level

Anyone who has watched Maddo closely throughout his career knows that International level was beyond him.

I've seen plenty of him which is why I said I would not have picked him.

You'll find his wagon wheel would heavily weighted to the on side which is why he is not so good outside his off stump and he'd get plenty there at international level.
