AAAAAND we've just passed lunch on Day 2, so there is forever left in the match. South Africa could keep batting til lunch on Day 4 and that would be fine, and once day 4 does come, Tahir should prove to be of some worth

I think this morning proved that there is life in the pitch, the SA attack just didn't click yesterday.

But you're 550 behind, your best bat is injured and not coming in till 7 and your third best bat is compromised by wicketkeeping and not nearly as effective.

I don't believe that AB is compromised AND in recent history, any time Kallis has batted injured his made big scores. And Smith and Petersen are in the middle right now
