Lyon turning it a fair bit now.

Warner gets him stumped! Wade almost screwed that up as well.

huge wicket, but it's interesting that both the wickets have come by batsmen being out of their crease. Can't count on that all match, but it would be good for Australia to see the back of Amla without him having done any damage

who said?
It will probably depend. IF he bats at 4, lock him in for his maiden triple century

he cant bat any higher than 7 under the new rules because he has spent too much time off the field, its been brought in because too many people were rorting the system using 12th men to do all their fielding then come out and open the batting and also rorting the rule of using runners

ironically, safas were the main offenders apparently

Wade even fumbled that stumping. Not sure sure about him against the spinners.

Warner is a more than handy spin bowler they shoulda bowled him at the Gabba.

Pretty shocked at Aussie fans declaring with surprise that this wicket is a road... did you not watch day 1? Yes there was good batting, and some poor bowling - but the injuries and the deck played a big role too - Clarke's in great form, but batting on these wickets is rather helpful for him

Assuming RSA avoid following on (looks likely), then Aussie's scoring rate on day 1 has kept both teams in in, if the wicket deteriorates....

Wait for day 4/5 before these statement, already Lyon and Clarke got a bit out of it

?

Are you kidding? This is boring cricket. Cricket has been boring for the past 10 years. Put it this way. I used to watch every ball of every Test match religiously. These days I can barely survive a session. As a matter of fact almost every great Test match I have ever seen was pre-2000 when the pitch had something for everyone all game. You can have your roads.

fun fact

Graeme smith has 25 test centuries. SA have either won (17) or drawn (8) the game

He has hit his 26th ton in this adelaide test. I reckon a loss is well over due

Ashes series 05. India 01. Amazing Adelaide. Both Saffa tests last season. The Kiwi tests last year. There's been shitloads of good cricket in that time. Obviously you just havent been watching.

I'm with you, I have seen a lot of excellent cricket over the past decade which has often made me feel blessed to be around in this era. It is a shame about some of the pitches these days. But I have been genuinely excited about so many series and even when they aren't as competitive as they ought to have been, that does not stop them providing great cricket. A good example of this is India in England last year. Despite how lopsided it was, that was a great series. I watched nearly every ball. We have a range of top batsmen who aren't just flat track bullies in all the top sides. The world's spin bowling ranks are a bit weak, but we have some fantastic pace bowlers going around and youth in these ranks as well...
