Head has a t least looked like a batsman but I feel the poms will make a mess of this lot with the duke ball

I'd like to see Head get a ton today. I feel like he's the best of the bunch right now and deserves to cement his place with a big score.

You'd lock in a Test schedule along the lines of this:

Year 1 England / Ashes 5 tests /// could even squeeze in Ireland 1-2 tests before or after The Ashes.

WINTER

Year 2 India (ideally 5 tests) 4 tests // SL 3 tests

WINTER Ashes Tour

Year 3 South Africa (ideally 5 tests, stoked with 4 tests) 3 tests // Pakistan 3 tests // Afghanistan or Ireland 1-2 tests

WINTER Bangladesh // WI 2-3 tests

Year 4 WI 3 tests // NZ - 3 tests [MCG & Sydney] // 1-2 tests Afghanistan or Ireland

WINTER Afghanistan or Ireland 1-2 winter tests [Darwin / Cairns ]
Sidenote: With Afghanistan now a test playing nation - that makes at least 3 countries that Australia won't visit

Burns may have given a chance but beyond that it's just been good cricket shots.

True that. I think they've taken over Sharjah as their 'home' stadium with Pakistan using only Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Especially now that the ICC has green-lit four day tests on a case-by-case basis if it will encourage teams to play minnows.

It means you can squeeze a full tour of two tests, three ODIs and a T20 into a month.

Thankfully Darsh and Finch were dropped before they had a chance to boost their numbers against this.
Head has been pretty good- not great most of the Summer.
Burns should have been in for Finch. Justice served I guess.

100%.

I always loved when we played those winter tests vs SL and Bangladesh back in 03/04.

I just can't see why it can't be done.
