How are India touring again so soon? It should be South Africa & the Windies that summer. South Africa’s absence is a concern.

The FTP basically reset the rotations with the last revision with only the 2019/2020 seasons kept as is due to commercial agreements already in place

“The principles followed by Members in the creation of this men’s FTP are as follows:

  • Scheduling the appropriate amount of cricket in each format (home and away) for each Member;
  • With matches scheduled at the preferred time of year in each territory;
  • Inclusion of existing series that have already been committed to commercial partners (mainly in 2019-20);.........”

FMD, you’re the bearer of bad news.

Because if India don’t tour every other year the BCCI makes slightly less money and CA can’t have things like it’s own fans or health of the game in Australia get in the way of that.

I am sincerely hoping that the FTP is simply what is mandated by the ICC and CA is able to add matches to the schedule to make it a bit fuller.

If nothing else, you’d have to imagine 7 and Fox would be very unhappy with the drop in content after what they paid. Perhaps this could be the main benefit of this media deal?

@Front-Rower is saying the schedule has been reset because of the test championship.

Afghanistan should be a winter test match, even Bangladesh haven’t got a summer test in Australia.

Really concerned about this direction, Australia loves test cricket. As you said, there’s actually scope to expand to 7 tests.

I bet they live to regret a lot of this scheduling, and the over expansion of the BBL.

Yep, its an absolutely filthy slap in the face to the fans. Again.

Lets not f**k around here - this is clearly about CA prioritizing media dollars out of the subcontinent over their own fans. We f**king love test cricket in this country. It should be a seven test season. You know who loves T20 hit and giggle bullshit on TV all the time? Subcontinental tv viewers.

Sutherland the POS must of got a juicy fat bonus at the expense of the health of test cricket in this country. And they hired his second in charge, it will be just more of the same.

Eagerly awaiting the commentators to mention how slow Renburns is batting, especially once Head passes him.

Yep, they're twats. The bloke is striking at 55, that's almost 300 runs in a day (run-rate wise)

Keep doing what you're doing Burns.
