Maxwell at least has a test century to his name.

Hopefully Head and KP keep playing well and save us from having to scrape that deep into the barrel that Stoinis starts to look viable.

Stoinis is definitely going on the Ashes tour because there will endless prattle about how you may need four seamers in England, and Lyon isn’t getting dropped.

I think Wade goes as both the backup batsman and backup keeper.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the current top 6, with Smith and Warner in for Harris and Labuschagne with the above two as the backups for the Ashes.

You're probably right, but unless Stoinis takes a bag full of Shield wickets, I don't see how it's justified.

Selectors using cheap BBL wickets as some kind of justification is about par for the course though.

He's failed all summer when we needed a leader against India and the poms will decimate him in their backyard. Ok knock today though. Just several tests too late. Time to knock them over boys
