I think being chucked in the deep end helped williamson. Im not sure if it will help latham who has slightly different issues

Not sure, Williamson got a ton on debut then struggled - Crowe also struggled - we have a bullshit age group system dominated by nepotism, talent identification is mediocre at best - Latham and Williamson are talented, but should have been developed better - their talent level means like Crowe they will be fine in the long run, but those slightly less talented are the casualties imo

The lad just cant find the gap. A bit wattoesque really.

There is a lot to like if he could rotate the strike because his concentration wouldnt be so tested

It's hard to have sympathy when we asked for these conditions.

Nobody asked for sympathy

Strange review that

At 1 down we were doing well, 2 down acceptable now in a big hole - runs not relevant at the moment imo, time - Latham's brain fade was huge

Nice from the Aussies - although generally I am not sure teams should do it - but it's nice, can't help the batsman focus though

Yeah, funny in a way - but he's done a lot that the average doesn't tell you about
Average only tells part of the story, been always great to watch and those blokes who aren't always about their records you always think of more fondly. Think Adam Ghilchrist, Viv Richards or Sehwag.
