Toss really seems to be a huge advantage pretty much everywhere at the moment - I don't think McCullum has won a single one in tests against Australia this season... one does wonder if Australia flatters to deceive

Think so - almost worth playing Craig for his batting - selectors got the squad wrong, imo, but without Taylor we lack depth...

Australia are great front runners atm, we need to get in the fight... showed little in Wellington, aside from Craig's batting and the early two wickets... Australia responded (with some early umpiring assistance) when under pressure, we never really did.

Simply got to play better here

Plenty better than Anderson IMO, obviously Nicholls will be the one to immediately replace Baz. Like your selectors, they have a fetish with all-rounders, Neesham has been the best of them, but can't bowl at the moment
