A huge well done to McCullum on such an epic innings and also Watling and Neesham. NZ were staring right down the barrel for a lot of their second innings.

I would love to see them nick a win here but will be happy for a draw and a series win for NZ.

BCCI can stick their two tiered system right up their curry holes

How many records broken this innings?

- Highest score by a NZ batsman
- Highest score by NZ in an innings
- Highest 3rd innings score by any team
- Highest 6th wicket partenership
- Highest score by a number 8 on debut

Feel free to add more

I see Neesham is the 3rd Kiwi to score a century on debut at #8, the other two were better than handy - Bruce Taylor and Scott Styris

From Cricinfo

12.1 Boult to Kohli, no run, there was a loud sound, but Davis and Kohli are both unmoved! That was a clean edge and New Zealand are denied! Terrific deliver from Boult, pitching on a good length and drawing the batsman into the drive. Very loose shot, especially with the ball working angle. And escapes. Great acting from Kohli as he didn't even look back. Just started re-marking his guard. Snicko confirms

bugger, had Kohli there by the look of it...

Davis is pretty ordinary tbh

Davis' mistake with Kohli might prove costly, but that's cricket...

I am now celebrating a test series win over the #2 team... and officially prepared to say we are much better than #8, especially when we find an opener :D

Australia and England are as much for the proposed system as India

Very true

All three associations just want to line their pockets with more $$$

I'm definitely not a fan of the idea. It would get repetitive seeing the same sides every year or two for a start!
