Lyon and Siddle for that matter make it easier on Harris and Mitch. The latter two are able to be burst bowlers. Lyon picked up 2 wickets going at less than 2 rpo, he did his job!

And also, he's quite good.

But no wait lets get Muirhead over there because he bowls legspin.

Wouldn't go that far, but he is a role player and he does his role. Muirhea and Boyce for that matter have played probably 5 FC games between them, can we please not rush him. Lyon has 110 test wickets or whatever!

Umm , Boyce has played 29 FC games. Which is about 24 more than Lyon when he was picked.

Not saying he should be in the team but let's get our facts straight.

Yes- over rates. You cannot have 4 quick bowlers and bowl 90 overs- your captain will get suspended and Clarke is already on 1 warning!

may as well picked okeefe, a lot more economical than lyon (also the best spinner in domestic comp last few years by some way)

Or just, you know, keep picking the guy averaging 32-33 bowling off spin. He's doing a good job.

O'Keefe bowls very flat, not sure how he'd go in internationals

Isnt there one way to find out?

Rather than assume he wont go well, give the bloke a crack

I agree, but not in south africa when we have a good test bowler in Lyon.

he should've been in the team in India, would've suited his bowling more.

I'm wondering which will survive the 5 days better, the Saffers or the pitch.

So if we keep Sth Africa to no more than 1 win in this series, Australia will move up to number 2 in the test rankings

Saffas have sent some of their fans out to try to help keep the test series close.
