Reefy you are a tough bloody marker. Noddy was getting some good distance on his long kicks last night without question. Also a perfectly waited bomb for our opening try (that won me $70 - thanks Goldy). He played a great game last night - when did the standard of someones game depend on the money they are on?

Almost impossible to pick 3,2,1 as everyone was outstanding. The best players on the field were probably BK, Peach, Stevo, Gallen and Sully but for what its worth ( not much) I'm gonna give my points to a couple of guys who I hadn't seen til last night

3. Dumas - awesome defence and brilliant hole running (shame about the try he bombed)

2. Simmonds - been dying to see the kid play and he didn't disappoint. Brilliant under the high ball (he jumps higher than Capper in his heyday) and a couple of exciting runs. Star of the future without doubt.

1. J. Williams - what a unit this guy is. Scary  Another potential star.

Impossible not to get a bit excited after this performance, particularly with some quality players due to return soon.

Only person in league who I can remember jumping so high was Greg Brentnall. But he was very tall so it may have been a bit deceptive.

gee i think thats a bit unfair millernose.

i didn't bag him i said he was near to his best i'm sure i said tht

you expressed a desire to see him gone from the club

frankly i find that disgusting

i just dont think that noddy will necesariliy be the best 1/2 for us in the long term. i am prepared and will be happy to be wrong

name someone in the squad who is a better half

peach should be captin of this team

ahhh now we get to your real gripe

Noddy is the onfield General. Peachey inspires those around him regardless of captaincy. I am happy with the current setup. I would like them to give Peachey the club captaincy or something.

In the end every club needs a marquee player. Brett Kimmorley is a marquee player because he turns up every game to play and gives his everything (although he looks fairly mediocre when we're losing/being threashed). And lets be honest for a moment, the majority of marquee players not just in rugby league but in all sports are over-paid. The only noteworthy (name that people would recognise) man in sporting history to earn his every dollar was Michael Jordan, who had shocking games in his career.

Ease up will you, the bottom line is the club would rather over-pay a proven winner than under-pay a loser. End of story. See you at the next game!

If you'd like me to pull out the statistics, I'll happily do so. Although for your own dignity I would exhort that you don't do that. You seem to be basing a lot of your criticism upon Kimmorley's kicking game. What you may not realise is that for every good thing Michael Jordan did, it came with a bad. For every shot he made, he missed one. His field goal percentage was less than fifty percent by career's end. Brett Kimmorley puts in far more good kicks than he does bad. His ratio of good:bad plays is better than the greatest himself. But if you should like to continue this slagging match of whether he earns every dollar I would so happily converse the issue futher... 8)

Just on the captaincy issue, I'd prefer to leave it as is.
I think Peach is nearing the end and we will see a few more years out of BK than him.

They both have their merits but I'd prefer to have some stability so I go for the guy who should be playing for us longer.

Look at the Brumbies and Gregan / Mortlock. There's no way you can convince me Mortlock is a better captain. But he is a more viable long-term option

Oh so you only want to talk about Saturday's match now? Hardly does anyone any justice at all. The most important statistic reefy is the scoreboard. Unless a player is playing very bad, there's rarely ever concern raised if a team is winning. I feel as though if we were top of the table, and Kimmorley was playing mediocre, than this discussion wouldn't even be happening.

In any case, I can understand where you are coming from, and can even agree that he is not playing to the value of his price tag. But the bottom line is that if we didn't have Kimmorley at this stage in our existance (and consider that there isn't a great deal left in the market to tamper with), than we'd be a lock for the Wooden Spoon or there-abouts my friend.

Yeah f**k Simmo jumps high. He is usually like half a meter or so up on the others.
Unfortunatly Salmon he drops a few when he gets up over other players which is a bit of a pain but yep he is gonna be good for us in time....an excitement machine

Does enough justice & backs up what I'm saying. We need noddy to be complete or hand duties over to somebody else.

Not with me & for this reason. The Sharks will not win the GF with that attitude. Whatever the quantifiable recipe is to win a GF, then the Sharks need 15% more or for the rest to have 15% less. We have to be better than luck, the refs, the gorilla & the hysterical nerves.

It may be easier to get off the bottom with Noddy around, but that is not my objective wish.
Every dollar spent on players has to contribute to that magical 10-15% better performance I'm talking about. Noddys is not the only one in my target.

This is going to be harder than I first thought...

3. Bailey - Solid in defence penalised maybe once or twice, which was a huge turnaround and threatened every time he had the ball in his hands out wide.

2. Gallen - His switch to the centres when McGoldrick got injured was solid.

1. Simmons - I had been bagging the bloke abit to my mates latley, but I had egg all over my face the other night.

Kimmorley has to be somewhere up there too. Great game by the little champion.

Yes he is, but don't worry about that, you'll understand soon. Just use these guidlines & he will stay away from you.

Don't say anything against kimmorley, no matter how correct it is.
Don't say anything against the USA, no matter how correct it is.
Don't say anything against Duby Bush, no matter how correct it is.
Dont say anything positive about islamic people.
Jews can do no wrong.

Follow those guidelines & you & Millers will be buddies before you know it.

There is something about this Marlin character that doesn't add up. I feel like we're being set up. Sorry Marlin, just my imagination probably.
