got characteristically burned in the lead up to the DCE try

Im starting to think this is coached into them because RTS is a smart player. They all do it bar none.I absolutely cannot give points to RTS, words can't describe how infuriating it was to watch him scooting off and leaving Saab unmarked. It happened a dozen times, it was insane! If a couple of passes stuck + Turbo stayed on, these were gifts. Smart teams will figure this out and kill us.

So someone please explain to me the pros and cons of leaving the winger unmarked. Is it to take out the bigger threat of the centre if he beats his tackler one on one, opening up the inside AND outside channels?
We were playing a rushing, up and in defensive game yesterday, getting up in manly’s faces and putting numbers into the tackle. That probably does tend to leave us short on the edges if the wingers man up or leaves gaps if they stay out- I assume Roger was taking the punt on cutting off the play assuming he’d just leave a gap for Turbo if he didn’t.Im starting to think this is coached into them because RTS is a smart player. yeh, thats what i thought he was upto as well. But when they got skinned on the outside the second time, he turned around and started waving his arms around like he was expecting someone to cover him. Pompey was left for dead both times by Saab.We were playing a rushing, up and in defensive game yesterday, getting up in manly’s faces and putting numbers into the tackle. He’s an enigma, obviously capable of doing a job at a high level, without any obvious big talentCapewell’s best game in a while. Handled Olakau’atu capably
I think it's a reactionary thing, that you only overcome when you're confident in the position and can trust your inside. The default setting, by the looks, is to race in and shut down the ball, but that can lead to big issuesIm starting to think this is coached into them because RTS is a smart player.
