3P - Why the Delays?

Perhaps the original poster and 3P captain should not have inferred that the former CEO's presence was in fact preventing a gaggle of sponsors from jumping on board and that his departure would trigger an immediate financial windfall for the club ?

who was that?

Sevens in the extinct election thread.

I know. ;-)

For all we know, there are sponsors that fall into Sevens box, but obviously the current board didnt have access to the existing deals - which need to be kept.

If they came in and were cancelling deals left right and centre and announcing new sponsors it would be a joke, wouldnt it?

I don't know. He didn't specify if they were major sponsors or otherwise. He gave the impression that the sponsors (and there were many) he had "waiting in the wings" were ready to jump on board, not waiting for existing contracts to run their course. That's conjecture on your part methinks. ;-)

I don't think Scorps meant for this to turn into a bash-a-thon. I guess it got out of hand when certain people started saying we shouldn't dare ask questions for a year or two...

Anyways, thanks for the post Jodeci. I'm actually very happy to read about the automatic doors. I've always enjoyed the challenge of navigating the manual doors with 4 beers in hand (no trays, thankyouverymuch) but at the same time dreaded the day when I would fail the challenge and lose my precious black gold.

Yes the new board were going to introduce something like Eels Bet with betting agency BetEZY but the old board signed off with Centrebet just before the election started.

any idea which would've been the better deal?

BetEZY were giving the club a higher divended/return to the club per bet.

Example. Eels $1.40 vs Warriors $3.10

BetEZY would say 10% of that bet returns to the Club where Centrebet probably throw in half that rate.

how do centrebet know what Eels fans are betting?

They dont.

This is what I'm trying to say.

EzyBET were going to bring in Eels Bet just like how the Knights and Sharks have their own Betting Agency.

We dont have a direct betting agency with us. Centrebet were brought in as a Sponsor and that's it. Nothing to do with put a percentage back into the club itself.

BetEZY were going to do both, give the club a sponsorship and also set up Eels Bet were eels fans instead of using the other agencies, would place a bet directly with the club and the club would retain a certain percentage of that bet.
