Unlucky for Ponting there. There's no justice sometimes. Watson has looked nervous and played some terrible shots but is still there, Ponting started well and gone from a screamer.

The shot he was off the mark to was almost out.

Ponting goes to defend a short delivery way outside off stump???

Sadly he has been well past it, no signs of getting better

Should have either left that delivery with ease, or gone for it

The pommies have had their Red Bulls this morning. Prior, Collingwood and even Strauss have taken off to get a hand on those catches.

It was an awful shot though. Not a shot you would expect from someone opening the batting in test cricket.
Well it was a pretty f**king good delivery. Have you played cricket? The ball coming back in at you late like that is not exactly the easiest delivery to play. Not a great shot no, but not a lollypop ball.

And I dont doubt he's out of form or that we probably should've picked someone else, but he is not a nuffie by any strech of the imagination.

Yes I have played cricket.

I never said for 1 second that he's a nuffie, he just played all round the ball as opposed to playing the ball with a straight bat.

Look at the bright side - if Tremlett and Anderson are demolishing us, then the pitch must be good and we should be able to pay back the favour, using legends such as Johnson and Siddle! Wait a minute...

Oh...:(
