It is obvious you just have a lower expectation of an opener. My expectation of an opener is more Hayden (30 centuries and 29 fifties). Your expectation is more Stephen Fleming (9 centuries and 46 fifties- even though he spent most of his career not has an opener)

Fleming is not a bad batsmen at all. But he is not great. Same can be said of Watson. I expect Australian opening batsmen to be great and Watson is not great at the moment ... until he starts converting fifties into big scores.

Funnily enough Fleming has a better conversion rate than Watson (2 centuries and 15 fifties)

So it's a low expectation to expect an opener to do his job which is see off the new ball and get the team to around 0/100?

Harris is an absolute muppet. Anyone classifying him as any sort of bat is kidding. If siddle played years of first class cricket im sure hed score fifties too.

After that last shot, in that situation, Harris should be 11. 365 is alot of runs but if they finish htese last two off now they go in with alot of momentum
