I was surprised Hameed was still in the England Team as he looks more like a park or lower grade cricketer - ditto Burns and Pope who were dropped - Crawley another who is averaging 11 in tests this year (2021).

Australia needs to bowl at their best in England's 2nd Innings and not give them a sniff of victory and some sort of revival in this Ashes Series.

Last summer he batted pretty well and bowled pretty rubbish.

This summer he's bowling pretty well and batting a bit rubbish. It'll just take him a while to settle in. He's a gun fielder too. No one else is hammering down the door to bat 5, let alone bowl 10+ overs, so might as well stick with him for a bit

If Pucovski could play a short ball with anything other than his skull there might be a case for alternating guys like Head and Green through number 6 depending on the pitch and bowlers etc, but given we're a bit thin on batting I think we can leave him there for now.
