England XI: Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow (wk), Ben Stokes (c), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Stuart Broad, Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood

Josh Tongue was obviously too threatening which doesn’t embody the good guy at all costs style of play of the mighty Ingerland cricket team.

England for all their blather about wins don't matter, being entertaining, blah blah blah. They're under pressure now with no more margin for error and they know it. Just trying to deflect.
Not sure how their higher ups feel about losing a home test series to Australia. Probably not too thrilled I'd imagine. Just one washout and we retain, so have fun with that England.

Not much between the teams really, so winning 3 straight will be tough, but we're one away from doing just that.

They will trot out excuses, and not acknowledge Australia are the better test side (let along world champs 🤓)

So glad so many of their own countrymen are coming out and being scathing of their tactics and this bazball shit. That says it all.

Weird took this long to bring in Wood, particularly as Archer was out. Hopefully he is a bit rusty 🤓

Scary thing is if England don’t get their shit together this could end a whitewash…. And the whole, well “we were competitive” ( noting we seldom get three tests let alone five) argument in that context is acceptable in NZ, but not in England with the resources they have…

will Baz the great be looking for a new job?

Woakes actually has a terrific record in England - given how Anderson's been he makes the team stronger - while it's 2-0, they've been close, and if they can extract their heads from the arses, they could make it 2-1, but I do worry that the Baz bullshit has got their heads so far up there, it's irretrievable. When they were her, they thrashed us, when we were appalling, then we bounced back and beat them while stupidly not picking our best bowler, and this bullshit about entertainment etc, and the result not being so important started ... that will wear thin if they keep losing, especially if they lose when their own stupidity is a big factor in it (which it has been in both these tests)
