SA clearly the best pace attack in the world, ours just wasn't good enough today. Another series loss and more unwanted history for a national side in absolute disarray

This is a game a we could've won. Happy with the effort though at least we've put up a fight.

Like I said, the difference will be Stoinis and Marsh not going on with it. Faf and Miller got 130 odd, Stoinis got himself out on 63 and Marsh the same on 101. One of those guys goes on with it like the Jaarpie pair did and it's a different game.

It's a decent performance, but we've let it slip with poor moments with both bat and ball.

Still, whilst Maxwell is there there's some hope. Slim, but some. Only takes a few huge hits to swing momentum at this late stage

Just can't hit the boundary.

Over now. SA won the important moments, our bowlers forgot how to bowl yorkers and their batsmen went on with big scores.

Quality death bowling. Was always going to be a monstrous ask to score 321 against this brilliant attack

Video umpires not knowing how to work a stop watch hasn't helped. But yeah, needed much better from our bowlers at the end who are supposed to be the strength of this team.

Yep. Not sure our quicks are quite as good as the media makes out. Still an excellent bowling unit, but SA showing they're a bit more skillful today. Then again, they only had to go up against one of the most brittle batting line ups in world cricket

The game is gone, so it's not a match specific criticism....but why does Maxwell do that? He's sliced a leg stump half volley out to deep cover. Surely there are better shots to play, but he just consistently clears the front leg, backs away and tries to slap wildly over the off side.

Get an on drive into your game or something FFS

I think the difference is down to coaching.

They have clearly been coached and instructed to bowl yorkers at death. We bowled everything but. We approach it like a T20 and try and throw out every variation when simplicity is the much better approach in a 50 over game

Hopefully that secures Stan Marsh's place for the next Ashes.

Only fair after Keaton Jennings gave you guys a similar gift this week.
