Funny how quickly the nice guys who only playing the spirit of the game change their tune when a series is on the line.
Maybe their shit does stink just like the Australians.

I dont think we can meltdown too much. Nz are extremely good at home and they beat us fair and square. Like ive said a few times they beat a much better aus team in nz during the world cup

When your chasing 247, is that you job? Craft an innings and get a red inker guiding your team home with 5 or so overs to spare sounds like a good idea.

Unfortunately, these days, yes it is. The number of time Shaun Marsh, a very decent ODI player, has been criticised and even dropped for his ODI SR as an opener is a good example.

I don't agree, but that seems to be the way it is.

Thankfully, that means we never have to see Boland or Wade in Australian colours again.

Also this. I notice not a peep from the Kiwis about Captain Nice Cricket giving Marsh a spray as he walked off.

Personally I have no issue with it BTW, but the persona they pretend to have is a bit misleading

I had that argument with a dude at work. His average is good. His form this year overall has been decent at worst. Seems a good ODI bat frankly.

Glad to be wrong on the 2-1.

Aus will be miffed to have lost this game.

Smith will be hurting not to have played a captain's knock. But great series between two very good teams.

Wade is the worst keeper/batsman Australia has had for at least 20 years. Everyone else we've selected has been able to keep well or bat well.

Even worse than Ryan Campbell (played 2 ODIs during 2002/2003)?

Btw, I just looked up that Campbell will be playing for Hong Kong in the T20 World Cup next month

Again this goes back to an issue with the selectors/admin guys. Burying a guy because he is batting too slowly in a winning run chase is madness.

We don't know what he said to be fair, it looked like Marsh was giving the spray

Stunning win

Really sad Baz is retiring, with Hesson he has really turned this shit around

As an aside, how do I sign up for the John Hastings fan club, really like what I see of him in everything he does

Got 4 catches and a stumping, was absolutely fearless as well. Not sure if he did it in either ODI but he used to don a baseball face mask and keep up to the quicks, and do it well. Also one of the original players of the scoop over the keeper/fine leg. There wasn't much wrong with Ryan Campbell as a back up keeper IMO
