Anyway, congrats NZ.

Expecting something special from Aus in the test series, given we haven't played our full strength side for 11 limited overs matches now. They'd better be building for something reallllly special or the selectors need to go

Despite the boos I thought Smith was pretty much perfect in what he said in regards to the Marsh dismissal there

 yeah yeah - Greg Chappell, Jim Higgs and Greg Dyer say hello for a start

He was out, fair and square - once the appeal was made they should have checked it, they check ones that clearly aren't out

Love how SOME Aussies piss and moan when they lose

I for one thought we were toast after our effort with the bat, but a well deserved series win

that was not an appeal and if it was, he should be fined by not turning around to acknowledge the umpire

Kind of like your lot pissing and moaning after you lost in Adelaide?

This decision was correct, that one was incorrect - are you geniused?

I am amazed at some of the BS from some Aussies here - Marsh was out, piss and moan all you like, it was out - no debate

well done Kiwis, good way for BMac to go out

Yep - was an enjoyable series, both middle orders struggled, nature of our wickets I think, ball comes on better early, so the openers look great, the others look rubbish

I thought we were gone, but hard to overstate how much Hesson and Baz have turned this group around - the young talent is decent too

Smith handled the on field interview well'ish, (lbw not relevant but we all got his point except batsman do already stand there for doubtful catches). Not sure Doull is right to ask that question until proper post match media room. So Smith performed well in the circs. Bit of an ambush on stage with a crowd listening.

There could be a post match blow up and a look at Elliot & Wade, Marsh. Be interesting whether it escalates or blows over.

you can't wait for a replay before going up in arms about the on field decision after barely making an appeal, that's where the controversy lies

 always classy when beaten

"up in arms"

an appeal is an appeal - Henry clearly appealed = politely, it's our nature :D

Who knows exactly what happened between Marsh and the kiwi fielders. Seemed pretty tame to me. What we do know is that Marsh was out, fair and square.

he didn't even look at the umpire as he made his "appeal", either he was supremely confident (so confident that noone else appealed) or simply didn't think it was out, either way he should be copping a fine for not turning around to look at the umpire

btw Mitchell Marsh stepped up impressively in Faulkner's absence

Thanks for a great series in a great spirit Aussies

Indeed - also it was clear that you don't need 350 vs 350 for exciting ODI cricket, quite the reverse actually

And again, love what I see of John Hastings

I think he will happily pay the fine.

The ipl boys can have a whip round.

Baz may pay it entirely himself.
