They should consider stripping Melbourne of international cricket if this shit is going to be continuesly served up. I saw the morning session and it was boring as batshit. Not good for players, competiveness and value for money for supporters who fork out their hard earned.
They dodged a bullet by a week last time. Won't be dodging it this time. Of course the match referee might find himself the proud owner of a new boat or something at the end of the test, so who knows.

What is it with Melbourne and their love of superhighways?

Between Christchurch and Melbourne there were 16 wickets. If it was 8 each venue that’d to me represent a good day for the pundits.

I hate to break this to you, but Smith hasn't played Test cricket since March and Virat Kohli is the #1 batsman in the world.

This is right imo

Smiths going to be out the game a year. Kohli has spent that year scoring runs in rsa, England and aus

f**k me - I just threw on the South Africa v Pakistan test. Another green test wicket.

Two in a row is bullshit. Boxing Day should be in Brisbane next year to make up for the f**karound that CA have given the QCA in recent years.

Flogtardia resting on their laurels again as one of their time honoured sporting events turns into a f**ken joke much like the Melbourne cup carnival

Victorians don't know anything about sport so this is acceptable to them

Victoria obviously prioritised the xmas $$$ over interesting cricket.

Wanting to get 5 days of play by laying down a road Is good short term, but merkins aren't gonna keep turning up to see mediocre batting lineups (with a sprinkle of stars) smash runs and draw matches

So the little lisper from a waste land state thinks it's pretty poor of an Aussie crowd to boo an Aussie player on Aussie soil.

FFS man. Get out of the bubble. This is the shit that got Aussie cricket in a hole.

Yes, yes...it's a Victorian crowd, I know. However, this attitude that folks who never played test cricket don't know anything about cricket, etc etc really irks me.

People have paid their $$$$. If they want to boo the selection and participation of arguably the most over rated, and quite possibly the worst test player to ever don the creams and daub the zinc, then kudos to them.
Twavis needs to score runs. Not brownie points.
