We've been starting tests well since Sri Lanka, we just can't finish them off while we've gottem down

Now would be a nice time to start showing some ruthlessness

Hate to keep harping on with cricket stories, but I'd be interested in people's thoughts on the following....

We're defending a modest total one day and coming in to the last over, the opposition need 3 or 4 runs, plenty of wickets in the shed... but anyway, first or 2nd ball of the over, batsmen pushed one towards point and they take off for a quick single... our fielder picks it up and throws at the non-strikers end, and the ball hits right on the edge of the concrete slab that the synthetic pitch is laid on and bounces back over towards a gap between cover/mid off, and the batsmen then go and take a 2nd run.... We were livid, telling them it was very un-sportsmanlike. They shrugged it off and duly won the game a couple of balls later... Wouldn't have changed the result (more than likely) but I thougth it was pretty low tbh

No issues with that tbh. It's harsh but it's really no different to the ball taking a bad bounce on the infield for example.
