So, 74 overs gone and Agar - the player picked in the starting XI as Australia's 2nd frontline spinner - has only bowled 8 overs.
Seriously, whoever was responsible for his selection in the squad needs to be sacked. It's clear as the light of day that Cummins doesn't have confidence in him, as he views Agar as just simply there in the team to mop up the breadcrumbs and give the other bowlers a break.
Unless India dishes up some dustbowls such as the one in Mumbai during the 2004 series where Michael Clarke got 6/9, I CANNOT see Agar being Australia's second best spin option for the tour of India, or Agar being anywhere near as threatening as Steve O'Keefe was during the 2017 tour of India.
If the Aussie selectors were keen to try 2 frontline spinners at the SCG, this was the match to try a leg-spinner such as Mitchell Swepson. The fact that Sweppo wasn't even the 13 or 14 man squad leads me to believe that he won't ever play a test match in Australia and that he is much lower down the pecking order.

Que to childish head puns. Vale warne
Well, unless there is another bolter that suddenly appears amongst the crop in Sheffield Shield, I do see Murphy being the selector's favourite to replace Lyon once he retires (which will probably be within the next 2 years). Being 7 years younger than Swepson, Murphy's got the advantage of time and youth on his sideThrow in Todd Murphy IMO.
Swepson never got the opportunities he needed to develop years ago so his time's passed I reckon. Murphy looks like a serial murderer and he rips it so he'll intimidate most bats

5thAgar isn’t even in top 4 spinners in this XI.
Murphy hasn't done much yet
