He has batted nine most of his career, but when the senior player gets out he throws his wicket away!

The call has been made for him to bat at seven as the all-rounder. One I also agree with. He has only played for eighteen months and he is batting extremely well when given the opportunity. He however tends to hit out after he has batted calmly with the top order.
Hauritz can be a fairly decent bat and could have stayed with him had he not tried going the slog. He was settled, had scored a fifty and was playing well. No need for the big shots straight after losing Clarke. Funnily enough on ABC Radio, Jim Maxwell and O'Keefe made the same observation.
His immaturity at this stage of his career is the only thing that will prevent him from being a class all rounder that will bat for long periods with the tail rather than the top order. Moving him to seven at this point wouldn't be the best thing for him or Australia.
