Rightly or wrongly Hughes is probably safe for the 4th test, the selectors have a personal vendetta against Khawaja. Good to see Hughes having a hit out but that doesn't stop him from still being an average player, I don't think he'll last long today.

Typical hughes performance. Puts in once the pressure is off.

I used to like him until bm made me hate him

Take that as a reflection of how others see you. Sad & funny at the same time.

Your homosexual fawning over Hughes & uneducated ill conceived opinions & predictions has caused nany people to hate you & see you get proven wrong, which means we all now rejoice somewhat when he fails.

If you could stop behaving like a horny schoolgirl over him, you'd find some people may actually like him as well. However you are so stupid & blind to the obvious fact that you are turning people against him & given your persistence, we can only assume its because you hate him & want everyone else to hate him too.

BM is either an amusing troll who is smarter than he pretends to be, or he really is a bit of a douche. Either way he helps keeps this place interesting.

Here's hoping Clarke's back holds up for today and the fourth test. How about the options for captain if he's out  - Walkabout Watto, Warner , Flipperhands :?

Personally I'd go Big Show.

Words cannot express how sad any individual would have to be to let their opinions be shaped by any stranger they only know on the internet. Let alone someone they don't even like.

Agreed with this. For the 4th test wheel him out in a wheelchair if necessary.

Sad is wanking over a test cricketer and giving a commentary of said masturbation on an internet forum.

A collection of cricinfos insights on Hughesy, makes for some fun reading:

Chev: "First time this series Hughes hasn't scored a second innings duck....... This is a great day for Australia. Maybe it's greatest day ever."

Ratul: "Cheating! They have sent in someone else feigning to be Hughes."

Mat: "Got to be my favourite #3 and #4 combination batting out there - both players have such class, such technique. Beat Dravid and Tendulkar by quite a large margin. Triple hundreds for both."

James: "Jadeja bowling to Steve Smith and Phil Hughes... and people say test cricket is dying. IPL's got nothing on this."

Sriram Iyengar: "A 50 here ... Hughes will announce his retirement on a high"

Magesh: "Did they send Hughes in, while he was asleep? He might have wanted to play like this in his dream. The moment he wakes up he will be out. So, guys please make less noise and let Phil sleep."

What a coincedence. Funny thing is me and a group of my friends went to see Hangover and every one of them said that the movie must have based that character on me.

I reckon he's awesome.

Sock puppets aren't technically 'friends'. You know that right? They also can't talk, it was actually you making those comments about yourself in the 3rd person.

Anyway, stick to doing what you do best. You are an amazing judge of a cricketer. Tell us more about how the only 2 players in this team who are any good are Hughes and Doherty. It's fascinating stuff.
