Apprantley it was actually the 10 year anniversary today of Brendon McCullum scoring 302 in a test match against India.

I guess England could have used those 302 runs today and still lost by 130 odd.

lol - and he didn't "smash" them, it was a rear-guard action, decidedly un BazBall like

How good is Yashasvi Jaiswal's batting record is looking good - but he has only played minnows so far, with a couple of games against South Africa

Be an interesting watch when he comes to Australia next summer.

He only scored 50 runs in 4 digs in South Africa so he is not complete yet.

We seem to get found out more by guys we haven't seen before in there debut series.

England get credit for India batting so well

“He looks like a superstar in the making, unfortunately he’s in some very good form at the moment,” England’s Ben Duckett said of the rising Indian talent.

“He’s due a couple of low ones,” Duckett, who hit 153 in England’s innings, said tongue-in-cheek.

Duckett also felt without England’s ‘Bazball’ tactics under Test coach Brendon McCullum, Jaiswal — and other players across the world — might not have had the confidence to play in such a manner.

“When you see players from the opposition playing like that, it almost feels like we should take some credit that they’re playing differently than how other people play Test cricket,” Duckett said.

“We saw it a bit in the summer and it’s quite exciting to see other players and other teams are also playing that aggressive style of cricket.
