I'd give Copeland his chance in Seth Efrika & the home series,as his height (on more responsive decks) will help him get that extra bounce he needs to be effective at his pace..

If we can save or win this match i wouldn't tinker with a winning outfit..

I like the look of Pattinson & Hazelwood, but Patrick Cummins is the kid who has got me excited..

The movement (both ways) he was getting in the Shield final was very encouraging..

yeh those 3 are the future for me with maybe Starc, these guys all bowl around 145ks

I'm not saying Copeland should go, he deserves to be there atm. I just think we will have better options over the next few years which I believe will help us climb the rankings again.

The first step has been achieved, sack Hildud who was holding us back.

I agree 100%..Especially the bold part..

The team is going to go through massive changes over the next 2-3 years..

Now if we could just find another Warnie from somewhere..:D

yep, big problem right there

Lyon is not the answer unless the pitch is like it was in Galle. He's the best we got which says a lot.

Personally I have no time for finger spinners, wrist spinners are where its at, not bothered whether they are a leftie or rightie, as long as the have the variation.

Johnson is finished folks, probably should have been gone a while a go. Will go on the South Africa tour but only because of how he bowled there last time.

We need Lyon to take some wickets, at least he doesn't get smashed like Krejza did though I guess.

Johnson doesn't seem to understand his game..He always looks completely bewildered..Whether he has been tonked for 6,or just taken a wicket..

The days of being the International Cricket Council's 2009 Cricketer of the Year seem light years away..

Johnson usually likes the sub continent so yea it looks like he's finished. Bollinger in for him for the next test series.

Idoubt Jonhson will be dropped in SA considering how well he bowled over there last time.

Lets hope the same reason doesn't help Hughes get selected in SA. The last time he was there he was an unknown quantity to the bowlers and he made his couple of tons but he's been worked out easily enough by pretty much every country he's played against and has done sweet f**k all since. I've never known a bloke to hold his spot solely on a couple of decent innnings two and a half years ago....

I reckon they will give him the first test but if he does nothing and we lose it or even draw it he has to go. Bollinger has to tour IMO. Clarkey is a Dougie fan so he should get on the tour.

Hughes is averaging 17.30 over his last 6 tests (10 innings)

How much longer is he persisted with?

Theres only two tests in SA, Not too sure they will drop him no matter what the out come of the first test

We need NZ to tonk him around a bit at the start of our summer :p

well if he doesn't take wickets in South Africa he can't possibly play at the Gabba. He has 11 wickets at 50 odd since Perth. Not good enough.

Despite a pretty poor series by Sri Lanka, I am so pleased that Mathews has really kicked started his Test Career over the past few weeks. Long term number 4 and future captain IMO.
