One of the problems with the previous selection panel was chopping and changing all the time and putting in random players that weren't ready. Warner has only played 9 first class games. I'd rather see consistent form for another, say, 18 months before seriously considering him.

On the other hand guys like Khawaja have been very good for NSW for a few years now.

Still, I agree with most of your line-up as well. If Watson is going to bowl more than 6 is probably better for him. Don't know about Huss at 4 though ...

Huss was number 4 for a couple of years before he & Clarke did the old switcheroo..

I'm sure he held an average of 70 for 12 months batting at 4..

I'm still intrigued as to why he swapped with Clarke who's average at 5 is about 14 runs higher than it is at 4..

Khawaja is basically in the side (or 13-14 man squads they pick for series nowdays) so i'm tryng to look at who is next in line..

Warner may not have played as many 4 day games as you'd or i would like, but sometimes it's a case of seeing the talent & picking it while they are in form..And Warner's form is red-hot..

True, he was 16 when he started. But his last 3 seasons he has averaged over 50. Bu talent was never his problem just his application and shot selection.

That is where you are right regarding him lifting at the top level, his concentration seems to be way better. Understandable given he is fighting for his spot whereas he is a sure thing in the WA lineup and probably got an easy ride into that side.

decision stays with the umpire so he has to go, ball rotation didn't change after it was past the bat, cant see how he hit that
