Marsh really has no idea on the spinners. Probably a good thing he wasn't batting at 6.

Congrats to Hughes..

He may not get a batting track like this for another 12 months,so a ton would be a par score for him today..

The problem Hughes has had since his twin centuries until before today has been a) the middle ground between 1st and 5th gear, and b) relying on one avenue of scoring.

Too often he'd score quickly, then dig himself into a hole until he gets out. And he'd have nothing beyond the cut/cover drive. Today his shotmap is much more even, runs in every direction. And he's been able to keep the score ticking inbetween the boundaries.

Really hoping he goes on to get his 100 here.
