I dont think Hughes will get anywhere near 150, so Clarke and Hussey have to hang around a while

We probably need to bat until lunch tomorrow to save this..

We'd lead by about 170 -200,depending on how hard we push the accelerator in the morning..

If we do that it opens up the slight possibility of a win..For both sides..

Very mature celebration from such a young player. He saved his career but hadn't saved the test yet, shows where his priority lies. All great signs from a player that should be at the top of our order for the next decade plus.

we need at least to bat to tea tomorrow. We win the series if we do that, why give SL a sniff by going for quick runs and getting out sooner than we have too? Lets win this series 1-0 , get some confidence and plan for SA

I agree with you..

It will be a test of Clarke's maturity was my point..

Can he resist the temptation to go for the jugular?..

Seems like Clarke has taken your advice, 2 runs off 28 balls.. bat the test out, i agree don't give em a sniff if possible...

Well done to Hughes, very good knock which may have saved his and Australia's arse. Ponting fails again, how long has it been since his last 100??? That dodgy ton when he was dropped on 0 if i can remember. If he can't score runs maybe he should go home and look after his kids full time.....

Hughes
Khawaja
Marsh
Watson
Clarke
Hussey

is a top 6 that could take us to the next Ashes. Ponting should be asked to retire at the end of the summer.

Against the Paki's?

When was the last time he looked certain at the crease?

Yeah I think that's pretty close to it.

The worrying thing about Ponting isn't just that he is getting out but that he always looks like he is going to get out too. The reflexes have gone.

Also, at what point does Mitchell Johnson become the bowler that rotates out of the team as opposed to the one bowler that doesn't? When Siddle looks more threatening, you know you've got problems.
