The worrying thing about Ponting isn't just that he is getting out but that he always looks like he is going to get out too. The reflexes have gone.

Also, at what point does Mitchell Johnson become the bowler that rotates out of the team as opposed to the one bowler that doesn't? When Siddle looks more threatening, you know you've got problems.

I think Ponting has lost his concentration and not his reflexes. He's making starts regularly, but he's lost the ability to go on. It's more mental thing. I think he may struggle against Steyn and Morkel, but he'll churn out the runs against India. In my opinion, he still adds value to the team.

The captaincy seems to be fitting Clarke as snuggly as a glove..

His batting looks more assured,even though the big score isn't there yet,the way he is hitting them they're just around the corner..

Lead by 112 now. If we get to lunch without losing another wicket the series is 99% ours.

He uses his feet well.

I like pup at 5 because he gets himself out slashing balls wide of off stump too much early on but this innings he's fought against Herath, got himself in now he's got the new ball to smack around.

Anyway, definitely prefer Clarke at 5. It's his spot.
