there is absolutely nothing to gain by declaring and trying to win, all we need to do is win the series

Its kinda strange how they went off the boil there. They put themselves in a position where if they went into 20/20 mode for 5 overs or so they could of set SL 270-280 in 40 overs, but they just didn't go on with it. Oh well, 1-0 is still a great result.

We can't win, just play out the draw IMO.

1-0 series result, I'll take that any day of the week against this Sri Lankan team at home and after the Ashes debacle.

SL are damm hard to beat on home soil

lost to us in 2004 and pakistan in 2006, other than that , no one has been able to beat them since 2000

Bit of bad luck for Huss,he got a bit excited once he got into the 90's..

Is that another nail in Johnson's coffin??..

you mean his failure with the bat ?

he'll never be judged on his batting, just his bowling

in my team he'd be batting after SOK anyway, actually he probably would be in my team

Yep i mean the batting failure..

His bowling form can be judged off his batting form..Either both are terriffic,or both are rubbish..

His batting is a reliable gauge as to how he is bowling..

SOK would have to be the next spinner in line..They've tried everyone else..

If Hadds can stay with him Sidds is looking at a ton here..:lol:

Good result for Clarke winning an away series at his first try, South Africa will be a total different kettle of fish though.

Still there are people who will give Clarke no credit. Really shits me. If I could punch people over the internet I would have tonight.

I can't see anyone on this thread who has been critical of Clarke..:?

His captaincy has been great all series..And he put it together with the bat this innings..

The future is looking a lot brighter..We've just got to shuffle the batting order a bit IMO..

The second he gets a couple of low scores, they'll all come crawling out of the woodwork, calling him a "pretty boy", "wanker" and numerous other petty insults
