my facebook status...

Incredibly proud of the england boys.....a lot will say its the same old story....but it isn't!...the same old story is us dying in the last 10mins..or losing in the last min......NOT being in their 10m in the dying second going for the game winning try........its took us 40 years but we are nearly there...nearly over that antipodean mountain.....ROLL on next year for our 3 test series against NZ...going to be amazing ‪#‎wallofwhite‬

tbh england play a more attractive attacking football than Oz and NZ. It is clearly more reflective of the open ESL style compared to SH wrestlemania.

Dunno if that's quite accurate mate... they played expansive footy tonight, but the Kangaroos at full tilt can be a very VERY attractive team to watch. The clinic they put on in last year's RLWC Final is the obvious case in point there, but they've done that a bit over the years.

Yeah get slater hayne inlgis and co going they look great, but there's something different looking when England do it.

The tri nations final when Aus beat England in leeds a few years back comes to mind, Aus were up 40 or 44 0 at half time.

That was the best game ive seen in a long time. Hats off to both teams. Bad luck England. Could have easily gone your way. Those missed conversions...

Ref was good too.

But what was Graham blowing up about at the end?

Great game to watch. A real test match and England were unlucky again but no match officials to blame this week. What a great comp it has been this year and hopefully Samoa can continue their good form tomorrow.

They're like the Warriors of international footy. Great to watch, but never quiet string it together. The 3 test next year should grow as a unit though. Unlucky England. I was this close to cheering you on

Australia's really been an after thought of this whole competition, Samoa has stepped up and NZ/England are starting to play some real competitive footy against each other. Australia decision not to play internationals this time next year and the rule changes in SoO eligibility is really going to put the Roos on the back foot for 2016 and the following WC year

Some of the attacking footy from Eng backline was breathtaking, they just seem to be missing something as a team. They are so close, and stacks of young players coming through. Can't wait for the three game series in 2015. Hopefully the RFL think big in terms of stadiums etc.

Confidence... That's all they're missing. Take Kallum Watkins for instance. Such a gifted athlete who has the potential to be one of the best centres in the world. He doesn't believe it though and always seems like he's playing within himself.

how many times did england break the line in this tourny only for the movement to break down? lacking support has cost them 2 games

some of their last tackle kicking has been mediocre also

england seem to be lacking a clutch player

and yes, confidence. probably used to be being bashed by the public at home. this happens after 30 years of failure. once they break through that though, look out.

agree, watkins looks class

England have a superstar in Daryl Clark, i have been raving about him for years so it's good to see him impress at test level. There aren't too many hookers who can run like him, i have seen him score full length of the field tries, he is a freak.
I would love to see him in the NRL but it's a shame he just signed a long contract with Warrington.
Joe Burgess is another with a massive future, Dan Sarginson has been the surprise packet for England, all 3 of these players are under 21.

f**k I love international footy.

Great game tonight. I was cheering hard for the Poms, but despite being the better side they still couldn't get over the line.

They need to see a shrink.

James Graham is the best forward in the world bar none.

Always feel sorry for Graham at the end of big games, he is up there with Thurston as being one of the biggest competitors in Rugby League - tries his ring out every time he steps on the field.

That is what rugby league should be all about. A great game, England played well, but New Zealand were deserving winners. Fantastic.

New Zealand have been clearly the best team in the tournament so far.
