Siddle has bowled well, shame he had to ruin his very good bowling with his shocking outburst. And Ponting what can i say he will be very lucky to be lining up next test. That was appalling from an experienced Captain. The pressure has finally gotten to him big time.

Yes, god forbid the spinner averaging 24 or so in first class cricket is suggested.

Siddle bowling well, but as i said after Brisbane he has to back that up, and he hasnt yet shown that. He'll bowl like this then switch his brain off for four innings.

You'll be back, but for a few years... tbh, I think you all got too arrogant, like the Windies did - you expected the domination to go on forever - they thought it was something to do with black players being more talented, and with Aust it was all about the marvellous domestic comp, and development systems - in both cases you had a freakishly talented generation of cricketers.... and the next generation has been woeful by comparison

Yes the current25-35 year olds are mostly sh*t, probably in part a product of always being behind a very settled lineup (never got to face class domestically, never got an oppertunity in the aust side). There is alot of talent sub-25 I think so I'm quietly confident of a good future, even if the next two years could be tough.

And I wasnt overly concerned about losing batsmen as much, we still have decent batsmen out there, but McGrath and Warne was always going to be very difficult to replace

Oh and Bell has dissapointed a bit the last 3 innings or so, was playing very well the first two tests but has shown latent signs of his immaturity again, throwing his wicket away. Woeful shot

What did Siddle do wrong in Perth? Only bowled 13 overs, was instructed to bowl short around the wicket, picked up a wicket and didn't leak runs.

Geez, potentially an innings defeat and two key players ( or really one and an out of form Ponting ) are possibly goooooooorne for the remaining test, how much worse can it get.
