Aust lost without Siddle

Think the main problem is too many from NSW
nananananananana fishing!

Siddle is a decent bowler when he bowls well, but he seems to switch his brain off for many tests in a row.

Like Johnson is decent when he bowls well but doesnt have a brain in the first place.

But he looks pretty good alongside Hilfenhaus and Bollinger.... and apart from Perth Johnson

Be interesting if Bollinger got similar chances to what johnson has been given. Best bowler all year then discarded after one sh*thouse test.

Hilfenhaus has been very dissapointing. Was good in England last year and the first test of the Australian summer, but since getting injured has not been good at all

Siddle looks fine on the rare occasions he gets it full. Shame it doesn't happen too often. Even then he's no more than a first change bowler though.

Well guess Siddle performing 1 in 3 is better than North's 1 in 5. Problem is Johnson is similar so we got half or 2/3 of our attack performing on and off.

To be fair though, his effort in Adelaide was every bit as sh*thouse as Johnson's in Brisbane - different flavour of sh*t, but sh*t all the same

And again, can't help but think his rep is largely due to NSW sychophants... he's got a good test record, built on getting NZ'ers, Pakis, and Windies batsmen out (42 of his 50 wickets!!)- have you checked where those teams are ranked lately... yes, he had one good test in India, but Chris Martin had a REALLY good one...

twizzle summed it up a page or so back - Aust suck - and they suck about as hard as Pakistan, NZ and the Windies tbh

I thought bolly was bowling well last summer, always making the batsmen play, and to be fair he's done reasonably well in the shield since then. Not as good as his record is (but i guess you can only bowl to your opposition). And he was woeful in Adelaide, no doubt. Unfortunate to fine himself right out of the mix (it seems) when the other bar Harris and occasionally Siddle/Johnson have been just as bad.

And yeah, we arent very good. We'll be back though.

You'll be back, but for a few years... tbh, I think you all got too arrogant, like the Windies did - you expected the domination to go on forever - they thought it was something to do with black players being more talented, and with Aust it was all about the marvellous domestic comp, and development systems - in both cases you had a freakishly talented generation of cricketers.... and the next generation has been woeful by comparison

Congratulations on being 100% wrong. The downfall was predicted and tbh it took longer than everyone imagined.

classy effort by the Aussies - great to see the usual standards being maintained - they never fail to disappoint
