pitch might also be getting easier to bat on and i can't see a lot of cloud about
I dont think the pitch has changed much, it was just the humidity around yesterday following a bit of rain the night before

The forecast was always for some great batting conditions days 2 and 3 with some rain potentially around Monday

Although both captains did want to bat first, England would have been better off with their side to bowl first, however Priors injury took away any chance of it happening

negotiated to drinks with no loss
4/268

North will be determined to get a ton after just missing out last test match
Clarke should get his 3rd for the series

Haddin is in good form with the bat,
and if Johnson gets going this could be anything

He is still taking wickets. Either way he won't be dropped for the 5th Test because Australia will win the 4th.

He did bowl better in the 3rd Test but he was awful again yesterday - all over the place. Missed the pitch a couple of times again which is remarkable for a Test bowler.

It's a new ball pitch.
They'll go through us with the new ball - and we'll have to mke some decent inroads with the new ball in the second innings or it will be hard work.

Shows how good the Ponting innings was against the bouncing ball early in the first innings.

Johnson handling things well, seems determined to make a score to make up for his bowling
