I still don't agree with Hughes being dropped given that some players can fail for 48 years and still be picked, but I have to give credit to Watson for batting very well over the past three innings

Nothing brilliant but at least decent compared to some if his teammates.

Bit of a dog move by ponting taking Clark out of the attack when he was still pressuring them, ensuring he wouldnt get his 5 wicket haul.

Didnt the poms give their best effort booing the christ out of him when he came out to bat :lol:

He still got given the most overs of all the bowlers

Although if he hadnt got the wicket with 1 ball remaining before Lunch he probably wouldnt have bowled at all after Lunch

Thats my concern on Hussey really. So he plays some good opposition vs South Africa and England and has a top score of 51 over 20 innings or so here. Then he goes back to Australia plays the Windies and the Pakis and starts pounding hundreds innings after innings and gets the Mr Cricket label back and its all swept under the rung.

Honestly whoevers in teh team after this series will stay there for a while as the run we have is a dramatic change of that over the last 12 months.

Anyway Australia just need to bat as long as they can here. Leading by 96, with the aim of getting that 200 lead. Obviously more would be great but theres also the chance for England to go through us. Ideally wed bat into the last session and have an hour at them tommorow might.
