Clarke is finished, the whole batting line up bar Rogers are front footers. You have to play back and late in England and leave plenty the first couple of hours. 20/20 has ruined test cricket.

Warner is good enough. The whole line up is good enough, they seemingly just don't know how or don't want to actually settle in to an innings. Case in point, that shot from Clarke. Anywhere else in the world, it's four. But in England, it's slower and it swings, you can't throw your hands at it like that.

Michael DiVenuto has a lot of explaining to do IMO

I was one of them, don't worry.

If you don't know how to settle into an innings then maybe you aren't good enough?

Twatson will be back for the next Test. He and Farke will score 50's to secure their positions for another year.

Now that Australia is in the tail, it wouldn't do them any harm to try and have a bit of a tonk to try and soften the ball up, instead of this niggly little forward pushes to a swinging ball

Just tonk for the quick runs. Actually, maybe get past 36, then go hard after it

This innings is a write off. If we want to salvage anything at all, any tiny chance to somehow salvage a miracle, we need to be starting tomorrow having bowled England out as well.

Commentators still trying to justify Clarke's shit.

As the saying goes, you can polish a turd all you want, but it is still a turd at the end of the day.

Clarke has been terribly out of form, and I feel given what happened in Edgbaston and now this test, a similar pitch will be dished up at The Oval to further add to his woes. Clarke only has himself to blame for the last test, given he won the toss, chose to bat first in bowling-friendly conditions and we paid the price.

Boycott giving it to us deluxe on the radio, he is spot on. Besides Clarke and Rogers how many batsman got out playing off the front foot??? Trying to take the ball on the up in England is a recipe for disaster.

Geoffrey Boycott absolutely teeing off in the Aussie batting line up on the radio.

Very well deserved I might add.

"Worst Australian batting line up in 25 years of playing and another 25 years of commentating"

Of course they're good enough. Patience and ability are very different things. As we've seen here. What's wrong with being 0/7 after 15 in these conditions? Voges and Marsh probably aren't good enough. The rest have proven themselves in the past bar Nevill who is a rookie. It's about digging in at this stage, and they haven't done that.
