There are just over 10 overs left. Hopes and Johnson can bat. He should go for it now, Hopes is doing his job and getting him on strike and he's doing nothing. The guy is one of the biggest hitters in the world FFS...even his mis-hits would clear the short square fences at Adelaide...his captain has just had to send him a message to get on with it for crying out loud

You were saying......

Quack quack......off goes Johnson.

I'm just happy that I put money on the Saffas to win the game. At least it's not all bad.

Our Middle order sucks. First player i would pick (if fit) is Brad Hodge to add stability to the middle order. No wonder he is pissed off, i would be too if i couldn't make this squad.

Get rid of White, hilffy, D hussey.

Ponting waits till we are 8 down to take the power play :? FMD talk about stupid. Sitting up there with Hildditch and Neilsen, looks like the 3 Stooges. At least Moe had a brain........

The problem with Symonds and Clarke missing is that they provide options with the ball, allowing the Aussies to have 4 genuine bowlers rather than throwing in bits and pieces players. White and Hopes have no business being in the same team as neither of them are good enough with either bat or ball to warrant a place on those merits.

I know there are people who would disagree, but I'd consider putting Marsh at 4 and Haddin up to open. Haddin really appears clueless at international level when he doesn't have fielding restrictions.

As long as Hiopes doesn't throw his wicket away he can say he batted better than the rest of team.

Lol...so because he got a duck he can't bat?

2 Test fifties and 4 for QLD says Rocky_Da(that's not even a word)_Rooster is wrong...

My point is tailenders cannot be relied upon. So what if he made two test fifties, Gillespie scored a 200 but that doesn't mean u can always count on him for runs.

Is bazal a word?

Hopes is a handy cricketer....but he's not a fulltime bowler and being used as one is hurting his performance. He's a good lower middle order batsman/opener who is a handy bowler, but we're using him as a bowler who can bat a bit and it doesn't suit him

Johnson has a good technique and can be counted on to hang around most of the time, much like Bichel or Gillespie or Warne or Lee could.

And it's a proper noun, so yes it is.

Well Hopes jumps off the sinking ship, he tried more than can be said than Haddin, White and Dussey.
