Wow. Even im surprised by how woeful Australia have become.

Marsh, Warner, D. Hussey, White, Haddin, Hopes, Hilfenhaus, Tait, Johnson, Hauritz the other day...

That's a dreadfully woeful ODI side with that lot.

Sure can. He starts far better against a newer ball and pace bowling. Also, Mike Hussey is a world class number 6 with the ability to turn a 200 total into 260-270.

Hussey should be down to 6, put White and Dussey into their normal positions  Haddin has twice had the chance to build an innings and struggled, coming in at no4 he isnt always going to be facing the new ball, so are you saying any time Australia get a good start he wont make runs?

He batted for 54 balls and then meekly threw away his wicket, can't blame Ponting for that. Anyway the power play should have been taken in the 15th when we were 2 for 93 and well on top.

He looked like he was playing a very unnatural game because they had the powerplay still left and knew Australia needed him and Hopes there for it, problem was in the end he got frustrated when Ponting wouldnt let them take it and an over later he is out, he got very animated with Hauritz when being told not to take it

Of course not you lunatic. You just trundle with the anti-Haddin (and NSW) bandwagon so no matter what anyone says Haddin is useless in your eyes.

One or both of White or Hussey will be gone when Clarke is fit anyway, White is a lower order hitter which we will be missing with Symonds out so he may stay. Haddin starts much better against pace bowling, and the added pressure of being uncomfortable against the bowler you face first up and having 4 down for bugger all isn't helping him in the slightest

Just shows that White is one dimensional, if the field isn't up he has nothing. Not skillful enough to work the ball around the field when his side needs him to build an innings. Which is a big part of ODI cricket just ask M Bevan.......

Very dissapointing total. Lots of soft dismissals.

Ponting is a dud captain. If you can't get your pin sized head around the batting PP, then take it as early as possible.

D Hussey is a dud, as is Haddin @ no.6. I woulde have thought that Haddin at 4 and M Hussey at 6 would have been the most logical.

Oh, Sh*tchell is nowhere near to being an all rounder.

He was building, building for the powerplay his captain wouldnt take

I wonder who would know more about when to take a batting powerplay. 2 batsmen who have been in plenty of cricket with the batting powerplay and both for very succesful one day sides, or a captain using it for the first time this series, hmm...

So he cant bat when Australia is in trouble? Wow, making him sound like a superstar

As for the first comment, you are the one claiming he has to start against a new ball and fast bowlers, if the Aussies get a good start he will be facing spinners first up and if you say he cant play them then what hope do they have?

There is one way to get moved up the order, do your job down it then when players struggle they might promote you rather than bringing in a new batsman, thats why Hussey is up there

Give it but can't take it eh Bazal. You merkins have branded me a racist, something which is repulsive to me and I'm just retaliating with a bit of interest. Mind you, I gather western sydney rednecks like you and your incarcerated brothers are all scum.

If the dickhead captain took the powerplay then he could very easily have ended up with a strike rate over 100, just wasnt going to take risks leaving the tail exposed for the powerplay, but the captain had other ideas obviously

Blame Ponting it couldn't be captain Victorians fault. If he had of hung around with Hopes we may have got 250, but instead he meekly threw away his wicket......
