why the hell was Greig and co jerking off over de Villiers?

Gilchrist opened and kept wickets yet they thought that him coming in at 4 was a super human effort

Very true. It's not like DeVilliers is the first bloke to keep wicket for 48 overs and then also be expected to bat for 30 odd. Greig is a d*ckwad.

320 would have seen an interesting chase, although at 2/222 with 12 to spare still would have backed SA.

It's not the bowler's fault our sh*thouse batting line up could only manage 220 on a belter, even though they would have got 280 in a breeze as well.

Given our squad for the last ODI has been picked can't see them changing it. And SA will be playing their fringe players so we won't be able to get very much out of the match.

Johnson has bowled 19 overs 1 for 134 since his lay off, bet you don't hear boo out of Ricky and the selectors

We are missing Hogg a lot.

We need a spinner who is at least threatening to take wickets in the middle stages of the innings, not bowlers who can be milked with ease (Hauritz, Hussey, White and Clarke). SA have killed us in this area.

Hoggy was a very underated bowler in ODI cricket, plus he was a gun in the field and a very handy bat. Add in the losses of Roy and Pup with Lee and Bracks out well we are bound to struggle a little.

Showed patches of potential but really when you give any bowler 220 on that pitch good luck.

All over. Useless bowlers could only manage two wickets

I find it strange that it's the inexperienced bowlers that seem to be copping all the criticism on this thread instead of the relatively experienced batters like Ponting, Haddin, Micheal and David Hussey who failed to set an even remotely competitive score on what was a batman's paradise of a wicket. I guess it's easier for Australian supporters to blame rookies that established stars.
