I was contemplating last week how much worse our results have been and declining rapidly in direct contradiction to how much money they now make... You've got amputee impersonators like Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh on retainers with CA worth about 1.5 million banana's a year while bloke's like AB 30 years ago were probably being paid in beer coupons and a couple of hundred dollars a month having to front up to Garner, Marshall, Holding and Walsh on proper turf decks... Disgusting how well rewarded some this current crop are....

I remember after Gilly and we were a bit shite and Haddin arcing up he deserved Gilly money because he was in the test team and the interviewer suggested they should only get big coin for winning results. He was flabbergasted.

He's good enough compared to other options we've used, but while he's carrying the attack all elevating him will do is burn him out

Realistically he could bat 7 if we had a keeper who could bat in the top 6 like maybe Carey in the future especially if you need a second specialist spinner like in Sydney.
