5th Test: Austalia vs England at SCG Jan 3-7 2011

same match showed a review showing the ball hit Watson's hip yet there was no white spot on hot spot

There was another one in the first or second test where Tony Greig was blowing his load over a wicket and hot spot showed nothing despite snicko showing a sound when the batsman was playing away from his body. It's utter crap and shouldn't be used.

Mate I was talking with Steve Crawley (Channel 9 head of sport) a few months back and he told me that he vehemently voiced his opposition to hot spot being used in any official purpose for those very reasons.

It doesn't show up 100% of the time.

And batsmen know this
They know hot spot miss very fine edges.
And if batsmen know this so do umpires and another reason Dar was wrong in reversing his decision. Pity. He as having such a great series up until monumental blunder. Now he is just having a good series.

yep you are an idiot.
and yep you should drop it as you have already been proven wrong considering BELL FREAKING EDGED THE BALL!

Just give up!

Not once have I argued that Bell didn't edge it you're that much of a dumb merkin you missed the point entirely I'm defending Aleem Dar for using the guidelines to reverse his dismissal. Just f**k off like you said would 12 hours ago.

So what you are saying is that Dar was right in reversing a right decision based off flimsy evidence that you yourself have acknowledged is flawed.

Gee I am not the dumb one am I!

I am not the one suggesting reversing a right decision based off inconclusive evidence is right. YOU ARE!

I am not the one suggesting upholding a right decision is wrong. YOU ARE!

Do you get my point?? Or are you that moronic that your IQ is comparable to a brain dead geniused rabbit?

You have been put on ignore!

Did anyone hear KOK yesterday talking about Saffa Poms and him saying it's going to be a great sight seeing Nelson Mandela charge on to the ground at the completion of the match to celebrate.

It was a funny conversation with Agnew I think it was.
heard that and pissed myself laughing!

aggers and skull are great together.

abc radio leaves, the limp, suck each other off constantly, drivel that nein serves up as commentary, for dead.

Another century. As I said yesterday, England won't bat again. Cook has scored his last runs for the series and we'll lose by an innings on 3 occasions in a single series, which as far as I'm aware is the first time it will have happened to any team in the history of Test cricket.

You've only just realised this?

At least Michael Beer has proven himself to be the future of Australian cricket ...

This series so far:
England batsmen have scored 11 x 50's, 9 x 100's (2 of which were double tons)
Australian batsmen have scored 15 x 50's, 3 x 100's (2 of which were scored in the 1st Australian innings of the series)

12 of the 15 Australian 50's have been between 50 and 62 runs, Only Watson's 95, Hussey's 93 and Clarke's 80 are higher.

In Contrast 7 of England's 11 50's have been 63 runs or higher

i've decided that we've now surpassed the the 80's in terms of being a crap team.

we've got absolutely nothing as far as bowling is concerned.

bresnan looks like he's good for a ton too and i'm sure swann and tremlett are actually fighting each other to see who gets to come in next.

Im a proud Aussie supporter, but man we like to whinge about stuff when it doesn't go our way.

OMG change the rulz!! I only like a decision making process that goes in favour of Australia. Hardly a whisper on here about Hughes claiming a catch that wasn't.

The soap dodgers are about to but 600 on us, this is like complaining "we wuz robbed by the ref" when you lose 68 to 10 in the NRL. (which is all to common on here sometimes, myself included in that critisicm)

Hilfenhaus is pure garbage, a supposed outswing bowler who bowls a good metre or 2 short of where he should be bowling. This should surely be the end of him...
