I am a bit frustrated with Taylor tbh... so inconsistent with the bat atm, standing at first slip for the most part and can't seem to take simple chances... wondering if something's up with him

I wonder if the impending countdown on his mentor has affected him....

I honestly think he will come good... And in this World Cup I reckon....

I'd still rather have him in there ahead of Latham.... No disrespect to Latham...

But Roscoe can win games against the big teams on his own....

He a matchwinner.

Yeah, I did wonder about Crowe.

No question he's in the team, Latham is definitely the reserve in the squad, if he plays because someone's dropped we're in trouble.

I'd be tempted to take him out of 1st slip and let him run around more...

Taylor is certainly a match winner, but geez he's scratchy for his first 30 runs or so. Guptill too.

No problem with chewing up deliveries if he kicks on, but when he doesn't a 30 (60) is potentially more harmful than a golden duck esp on these flat batting decks.

I'm glad that Williamson has taken over as the leading batsman

really strange batting effort this

are they worried about NRR? Not sure why, just win as many games as you can and all's good!

5 down now, bit disappointing really, 26 to get

I'll take back my ruthless efficiency comment

WTF, very disappointed, all the comments from before about taking them seriously obviously fell of deaf ears, the will or should tear them a new one

Pretty disrespectful batting effort. Kind of glad they got their pants pulled down without it costing a win.

yeah, McCullum trots out a lot of rhetoric about respect for the game, and respect for the opponents - not much evidence of that with the bat today

Really cocky display today, 30-40 runs more and we might have lost.
I guess we were playing for run rate, but that is no excuse for stupid batting

On that subject I always found the run rate tie-breaker a bit flawed.
Why not base it on team batting average subtract team bowling average?
Then preserving and taking wickets becomes the priority which imo is a better indication of a team performance. Whacking runs quickly shouldn't be it.

And that's the difference between the All Blacks and the Black Caps...

The All Blacks pay respect to minnows by actually smashing them....

Ruthless and clinical stuff from the form one day team in world cricket to win with more that 25 overs to spare!

I was saying the other day how NZ are the type of team that can struggle against minnows and than out of nowhere will beat teams like Australia and South Africa comfortably, absolute demented shitheads you Kiwis.

you're probably right, pretty much..

we were never going to lose that game and while the victory wasnt emphatic, it was still within 25 overs..

respect ? f**k that as long as we beat them..

Well that was certainly embarrassing. The batting display today was one of if they had half a brain it'd be lonely. Deplorable. The World Cup isn't won on NRR. Its won on skill, discipline and attitude. None of which they displayed. Shameful.
