I don't blame the Sharks TBH, considering the gloss has been taken off their win by a whole state crying, and the opposing captain didn't give them any credit for their win and instead went on an epic whinge claiming a conspiracy.

I took that as them saying the Cowboys were unlucky and "the lucky number 7 was on our side" acknowledged that they had some luck.

Hardly condescending in my books.

Tate said that Sharks supporters were only inches away from the players’ faces and hurling insults such as “Queensland f…ing c....’’ and “c...suckers’’ at the Cowboys players only minutes after their heartbreaking defeat.

It really is amazing how people think it is as simple as taking 6 points off the Sharks and assuming the game plays out the exact same way for the following 70+ minutes, and the game ends 18-14 to the Cowboys.

There is so little logic to it and yet so many people buy into this 'robbed' garbage, it's staggering.

It's not the 6 points off. Lets look at the Storm v Souths game with the garbage call for the 2nd Slater try. Add 6 points Storm don't win but 15 to go it's 14-12. Rather then 14-6 (20-6 next set).

Same here no guarantees NQ. Momemtum, Body language etc is different if the refs count correctly. In these games there's not much between the teams. A momentum killer or bad call like this is usually all the difference

Or, knowing it's the 5th, Tagataese doesn't run the ball, but Carney throws up a bomb and they score anyway.

Or, they run it into the in-goal, have numerous sets on the Cows line, tiring them out and eventually the Sharks win by 20.

Or, the Cowboys repel that set and many others in the game and win by 20.

Or, a million other scenarios that could have occurred because for the 72 remaining minutes of the game every single decision every single player on the field made from then on had the potential to be different from what it actually was on Saturday.

It's Logic 101 and every whinger claiming robbed has got an F.

cool story bro

The fact is the sharks did score off a seven tackle set and we did lose by two

Invent all the fanciful senarios you want the fact the refs made a huge mistake that in the end proved pretty decisive in determing the outcome of the game

To a better team ok but there was nothing in that game and try as you might to downplay it that try was huge in the context of the game

Sliding Doors eh Rod.

You hit the nail on the head mate. The Cowboys has their chances to change history right up until the 81st minute but didn't take them.

We came from behind twice more in the game despite giving them an intercept try.

We were the better team & wanted it more. We fought to the 81st minute to secure it.

I think the main point is that we shouldn't have had to overcome the f**k up in the first place, everyone keeps saying "oh but they had opportunities to overcome it and they didn't" and "there was 73 minutes after the incident to win" but the fact is we shouldn't need to chase down head starts in the first place. If it hadn't gifted the sharks six points, we're not talking about it still as it wouldn't have influenced the end result. But it clearly did influence the result, that can't be denied. Of course anything else might have happened after the correct call was made, but it wasn't made and our team was chasing six more points than it should've been, it's that simple.

Do you think next year we should just ask the nrl if we can have a six point lead at the beginning of every game? The opposition still have 80mins to overcome it, so it's ok, isn't it?

Manly shouldn't have had to overcome the dud strip and forward pass rulings that led to a Cowpats' try last year but they did and it ended up with many a tear north of the border. Bad calls happen, regularly. It sux but it's not the first nor will it be the last finals match to be clouded by such controversy. Joining the conspiracy bandwagon just makes you look like a goose.

Can anyone honestly say that they or the players knew at the time?

It is not like a knock on or a Shepard where defenders stop playing and hold their arms up.
