If they both get their tons and then need about 100 off the last 20, will there be any way to stop them? At what point do we put the field back and go for the draw?

4.29 an over, very gettable.

They've got a long tail and will fall to bits if we nab a couple of quick ones after tea. If they dig in though we're f**ked.

Lyon fails time and time again to bowl us to victories at the Adelaide Oval. That is pretty much his only job. He is simply not good enough imo.

I will give him a pass against South Africa because you could blame Wade for that but he has been "unlucky" too often for it to be a coincidence.

Siddle needs to go for Hazlewood. That is a no brainer. He looks like a f**king zombie out there.

It's not like an ODI game. Chasing at speed can be very difficult in a test match.

Going back a bit, but the NZ V Aus game in Brisbane is a good example of why it's difficult to chase. Rain looked like wrecking the game but some sporting declarations made it a game with NZ chasing. They were doing a great job and then to force the draw Australia spread the field (no ODI restriction) and bowled well wide, short or down leg (as they're entitled to do when there's no strict wide guidelines).

Makes it very difficult to chase when the bowlers aren't forced to bowl it into the good hitting zones.

At this point I think a draw remains the most likely option IMO.
