Absolutely bloody magnificent contest!

Congratulations to the Swans and their fans, 72 years is an absurdly long time to wait, and good luck to yas.

Freak effort from a side who looked gone during early exchanges in the final term.

West Coast were brave today and, for mine, were the better side for much of the match, but the club will rue their lack of forward oomph across the summer.

Great game from Chris Judd who well deserved the Norm Smith.

As gripping a Grand Final as I have seen and a credit to the combatants.

Its Sydney's moment, and well may they enjoy it.

Gee that old South Melbourne song is not bad ...

Well done Swans & more especially .... Well done to the Norm Smith medalist Chris Judd, a highly professional speech from a man who must be devestated. Very very impressive given the disgraceful behaviour we witnessed 3 years ago when that sore loser Skunk won it in 2002.

Nathan Buckley - Take note, Chris Judd is the example of what a modern player should be & you are the example of why 95% of football fans loathe your disgraceful club..

Bob Davis, used to play for Geelong. Beleive he is getting a stand down at Geelong named after him.

Roos mentioned South Melbourne too ... Deal with it, Sydney are South Melbourne.

It's got nothing to do with a hatred of Sydney ... 70% of the crowd were supporting Sydney ...

The Swans are no longer part of South Melbourne, but the AFL likes to keep it's traditions going.

porbably the most exciting afl match i have ever witnessed. congratulations swans. - check out the thunder from the sky!

Only because it was close.

I still hate the flooding/short kicking game of Sydney, even if it isnt as bad as it was earlier in the season...

But well done SOUTH MELBOURNE ;-) !!

Tell that to the 8,000 members they have in Victoria.

They couldn't survive in Melbourne and relocated ... But their history is still South Melbourne, their future is Sydney.

Doesn't mean their old Victorian fans need give them away.
